What are Dermal Fillers?
Before proceeding with filler treatment at the clinic, all of our clients must have a thorough consultation with Daniel to assess their suitability for treatment, and also to discuss their medical history thoroughly. Treatment results and client expectations are also discussed at the consultation. All of this helps to reduce client risks and to maximise their safety.
Dermal fillers are substances/gels injected beneath the skin’s surface to smooth wrinkles and add volume. The products are composed of stabilised hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in the cells of the skin. It works by drawing in water and therefore augmenting the skin, thus reducing the wrinkle treated. It is by no means permanent and is totally biodegradable. They instantly plump and add volume to the areas from which it has been lost. Even the finest lines can be treated with confidence with filler.
As a result of age, sun damage, worry, gravity and other environmental factors, our facial skin begins to develop lines and wrinkles. Whilst this is a manifestation of aging of the skin and a reduction in the collagen and elastic framework of the skin it is possible to smooth out folds and wrinkles using dermal fillers to give a more relaxed and youthful appearance.
Hyaluronic acid facial fillers have been used to treat millions of patients worldwide and is the world’s most popular non-surgical treatment for static or resting wrinkles and lines. They may also be used in conjunction with Anti-Wrinkle Injections for particularly deep lines. These facial fillers are temporary and results should last between 6 – 18 months. Restylane and Juvederm dermal fillers have been extensively tested and are supported by many clinical studies to ensure your safety.
